Before you start

  • LP gas (Propane) is extremely flammable and poisonous; eliminate all ignition sources and provide adequate ventilation.

Procedure

  1. Open the set-mounted AC circuit breakers and close the shutoff valve at the fuel tank.
  2. Start and run the generator set until it is out of fuel.
  3. Crank the set a few times after it stops to make certain it is purged of fuel.
  4. Slightly open the fuel line (flexible section) at the solenoid valve; allow LP gas to escape slowly.
  5. Disconnect the fuel supply hose from the carburetor and hold it clear of the set.
  6. Press and hold the primer button on the regulator to release LP gas from the set fuel system.
  7. When gas can no longer be heard escaping, reconnect the hose to the carburetor.
