  • LP gas is extremely flammable; eliminate all ignition sources before purging
  • Provide adequate ventilation to dissipate LP gas

Procedure

  1. Close shutoff valve at fuel tank and start generator set.
  2. Allow set to operate until it runs out of fuel.
  3. Crank set a few times after it stops to complete purging.
  4. If set cannot be operated, move RV to well-ventilated outdoor location.
  5. Disconnect vehicle and generator set negative battery cables.
  6. Close fuel shutoff valves at tank and at each appliance.
  7. Slightly open fuel line at solenoid valve to slowly release LP gas.
  8. Press primer button on regulator until no more gas escapes, then reconnect hose.
