Before you start

  • Do not spin or push down on the crank.

Procedure

  1. Make sure CIRCUIT BREAKER is in OFF position.
  2. Throw MANUAL START-REMOTE START ignition switch to MANUAL START position.
  3. Insert hand crank and crank the engine with a strong, quick, upward pull.
  4. Choke as necessary by means of the choke control at the front of the housing.
  5. After engine starts, throw MANUAL START-REMOTE START switch to REMOTE START position.
