Before you start
- Do not use metal scrapers, wire brushes, power abrasive discs or other abrasive means to clean sealing surfaces.
Procedure
- Remove/disconnect components for access; label if necessary.
- Remove upper bolt and 6 bolts at base of intake manifold.
- Clean and inspect sealing surfaces; use plastic scraping tool.
- Clean cylinder head sealing surface with silicone gasket remover and metal surface prep.
- Remove and discard intake manifold gaskets.
