Before you start
- Do not set the switch to operate at too low a temperature, or the engine may be stopped before reaching normal operating temperature.
- The switch will not operate if the ignition switch is at the HAND START position.
Procedure
- Set dial adjustment to operate at a temperature several degrees below the boiling point of the coolant.
- Consider the altitude at which the plant is operating.
- Lower the setting 3 F for each 1000 feet above sea level.
- Check that the switch does not operate at too low a temperature.
