Before you start
- Fill system slowly to prevent air locks.
- Maximum fill rate 18.9 liters/min [5 U.S. Gal./min].
Procedure
- Drain the coolant.
- Remove the drive belt.
- Remove the water pump.
- Clean sealing surfaces on cylinder block.
- Install new o-ring into groove in water pump.
- Install water pump and torque to 24 Nm [18 ft-lb].
- Lift tensioner arm and pulley to install drive belt.
- Fill cooling system and check for leaks.
