Before you start

  • Do not touch the porcelain area on the spark plug

Procedure

  1. Check plug socket is clean.
  2. Install new spark plug; thread in by hand to avoid cross-threading.
  3. Tighten with torque wrench.
  4. Apply small amount of dielectric grease inside and outside the spark plug boot.
  5. Place plug boot on terminal and press until a snap is felt.

  • Extension and magnetic spark plug socket (Snap-On P.N. S971KA) Amazon
  • Torque wrench Amazon
