Before you start
- Do not crank engine more than 30 seconds at a time; wait two minutes before recranking
- Do not idle engine for more than 10 minutes
Procedure
- Check lubricating oil and engine coolant levels.
- Set throttle for idle speed.
- Disengage clutch or open main circuit breaker on genset applications.
- Open gas supply shut-off valve.
- Return manual reset fuel shut-off valve to open position if equipped.
- Push reset button on instrument panel.
- Hold in safety switch override and push start button.
- Release override when oil pressure shows increase.
- Engage clutch and run just above idle to warm coolant.
Specs & values
- Oil pressure must be indicated within 15 seconds after starting
- Idle no more than 3 to 5 minutes at 1000 RPM before applying load
