Before you start

  • Use instruments for accurate adjustment

Procedure

  1. Run 15 minutes with light load.
  2. Adjust carburetor main jet for full load.
  3. Adjust idle needle at no load.
  4. Adjust governor linkage length.
  5. Adjust spring tension for rated speed.
  6. Adjust sensitivity.
  7. Set throttle stop screw.

Tools required

  • Voltmeter/frequency meter
  • Tachometer
