Procedure

  1. Engine speed determined by tension on governor spring.
  2. Increasing spring tension increases engine speed.
  3. Decreasing spring tension decreases engine speed.
  4. No-load speed should be slightly higher than full-load speed.
  5. Speed must agree with load requirements for continuous operation.
