Procedure

  1. Shut off the fuel supply at the tank and allow the unit to run until it
  2. Drain the oil from the oil base while the engine is warm. Replace
  3. Remove each spark plug and pour two tablespoonfuls of rust inhibi-
  4. Remove, clean and replace the air cleaner per instructions under
  5. Wipe all exposed parts clean and coat with a film of grease all such
  6. Oil the governur to carburetor linkage with SAE 50 oil.
  7. Plug the exhaust outlet with a wood plug to prevent entrance of mois-
  8. Clean the generator brushes, brush holders, commutator and col-
  9. Where batteries are likely to be exposed to freezing temperatures,
  10. Provide a suitable cover for the entire unit, particularly if it will
  11. Remove all protective coatings of grease from external parts.
  12. Inspect the unit carefully for damage and for other conditions re-
  13. Remove the plug from the exhaust outlet.
  14. Remove, clean and adjust spark plugs. While the plugs are out,
  15. Refill the crankcase with the correct amount and grade of oil.
