Procedure

  1. Mark off 1 inch (25 mm) from one end of wire.
  2. Replace the brush and the spring if wire goes into the brush holder 1 inch or more.
  3. Remove brush holder by disconnecting two leads and removing two mounting screws.
  4. Install new brushes and springs in holder, keeping in place with piece of wire.
  5. Install brush holder and after tightening mounting screws, pull out brush retaining wire.
  6. Connect F1 lead to inner brush terminal.
