Procedure

1. Remove the crankcase breather hose and air
2. Remove the air cleaner housing center
3. Remove the three capscrews that secure the
4. Remove the air cleaner assembly.
5. Disconnect the fuel line and governor rod from
6. Remove the intake manifold capscrews, the
7. Remove the two intake manifold gaskets and
8. Unbolt the carburetorfrom the intake manifold.
9. Loosen the lock nut at the ball joint end of the
10. Push the governor rod gently towards the car-
11. Snap the socket back over the ball.
12. Tighten the lock nut while holding the socket
13. Gently rotate the governor arm and check for
14. Start the genset and let it warm up for ten min-
15. Disconnect the load (check for zero amps). Pull
16. Set the altitude adjust knob (gasoline only) on
17. Disconnect all loads (check for zero amps).
18. Check output voltage. See Generatorif output
19. See Troubeshoofing if the engine runs roughly.
20. Connect rated load.
