Before you start

  • NOTE: Always keep the air vent plug on the fuel injection pump closed except when air is vented, or it may cause the engine to stop.

Procedure

  1. 1. Fill the fuel tank with fuel, and open the fuel cock (1).
  2. 2. Loosen the air vent plug (2) of the fuel filter a few turns.
  3. 3. Screw back the plug when bubbles do not come up any more.
  4. 4. Open the air vent cock on top of the fuel injection pump.
  5. 5. Retighten the plug when bubbles do not come up any more.
