Cummins/Onan DF Series — Fuel System Priming and Fuel Filter Installation

Procedure

1. Engine fuel may not be primed at the fuel filters after shipment.
2. To verify and reprime the fuel system, remove each fuel filter (Figure 19) and fill with clean fuel.
3. Put a light coat of fuel on the sealing gasket.
4. Install and tighten by hand until the gasket just touches the filter head.
5. Tighten the filter an additional one-half to three-fourths of a turn.
