Before you start

  • HAZARDOUS VOLTAGE. Touching
  • Because of the opposing residual
  • Stand on a dry wooden platform or

Procedure

  1. Disconnect all loads from the generator set.
  2. Remove the side access cover and disconnect
  3. Prepare to connect 12 volt battery positive (+)
  4. Recheck polarity (the test will be inconclusive
  5. Connect battery negative (–) to the F2 lead and
  6. The generator circuitry is probably okay if rated
  7. If the voltages are not approximately the same,

Tools required

  • diode assembly, reconnect all leads and torque the
  • SHAFT KEY UP
  • TORQUE TO 24 LB-IN (2.6 N-M)
  • TORQUE NUTS TO 24 LB-IN (2.6 N-M)
  • Torque TB1 terminal board terminal screws to 61 lb-
  • LEAD. TORQUE TO 24 LB-IN (2.6 N-M). USE FLAT
  • Reconnect the rotor leads and torque the terminals
