Procedure

  1. Press a new exciter rotor or bearing on up to its
  2. To reduce the likelihood of damaging the wind-
  3. Make sure the lines scribed on the endbells and
  4. Torque the four exciter stator screws to 8 lb-ft
  5. Torque the four air baffle screws to 8 lb-ft
  6. Torque the four motor adapter hub screws to
  7. Torque the four through bolt nuts to 31 lb-ft
  8. Torque the three fan hub screws to to 8 lb-ft
  9. Torque the center fan hub screw to to 41 lb-ft
  10. Wipe the bearing bore in the exciter endbell
  11. Wipe the bearing bore in the adapter endbell

Tools required

  • TORQUE ADAPTER BOLTS
  • 9. Torque the center fan hub screw to to 41 lb-ft
  • 6. Torque the four motor adapter hub screws to
  • TORQUE THROUGH
  • 8. Torque the three fan hub screws to to 8 lb-ft
  • 5. Torque the four air baffle screws to 8 lb-ft
