Before you start

  • Careless handling of rotor can

Procedure

  1. Remove the endbell and rotor (p. 7-4).
  2. Place the rotor in the machine lathe and center.
  3. Clean and reinstall the rotor (p. 7-5).

Tools required

  • (Onan tool #420–0259) against the rotating slip

Specs & torque values

  • 0.0001 inch, and surface finish must be less
