Procedure
- Remove the rotor assembly and place it on a

- Use a gear puller to remove the end bearing
- Clamp the rotor in a fixed position and remove
- Remove the generator field leads from the ex-
- Slide the exciter rotor over the generator shaft

- Press the new end bearing onto the rotor shaft
- Assemble the rotor fan and drive disc to the en-

- Using a hoist and safe lifting device, carefully
- Install the end bell stud bolts through the stator
- Install end bell assembly on the stator with the
- Torque end bell stud nuts to 20 ft-lbs (27 N•m}.
- Using a lead hammer, tap the end bell at the
- Feed stator and control leads through opening
- Connect all applicable control leads (F1 , F2,
- Reconnect the AC voltage regulator plug. At-
- Install the end bell cover.
- Connect the stator wires to the load wires.
- Connect the negative(-) battery cable and test
