Procedure
- Remove spark plug from No. 1 cylinder; place a finger over the plug port and rotate flywheel clockwise until pressure builds.
- Continue rotating until flywheel TC mark aligns with timing pointer.
- Install rotor on distributor shaft and the O-ring on the body.
- Hold rotor 1/8 turn counterclockwise from position shown and seat the distributor.
- It may be necessary to turn rotor slightly to mesh distributor and camshaft gears.
- Install distributor clamp screw.
- If spark plug leads were removed, connect them in 1-2-4-3 firing order.
- Time ignition system.

- Rotor moves about 1/8 turn as gears mesh
