Before you start

  • CAUTION: Do not remove the radiator cap until cooling water temperature is below its boiling point. Then loosen the cap slightly to relieve any excess pressure before removing the cap completely.
  • IMPORTANT: Be sure to close the radiator cap securely. If the cap is loose or improperly closed, water may leak out and the engine could overheat.
  • IMPORTANT: Do not use an antifreeze and scale inhibitor at the same time.

Procedure

  1. 1. Remove the radiator cap and check to see that the cooling water level is just below the port.
  2. 2. If low, add clean water and antifreeze.
