Before you start
- Do not run the generator set without
- Discharge air from the engine can
Procedure
- Disconnect the starting battery, negative (-) cable first, to prevent accidental starting.
- Remove the Torx screws and the two screws on top. Through the spark plug access opening unhook the spark plug cable on the the oil filter side from the top panel and remove the panel.
- Remove the left and right side panels. Five Torx screws and two capscrews at the top of the cyl- inder heads secure each.
- Remove the end panel which is secured by the four remaining screws along its bottom edge. Cooling System Disassembly for Engine Block Service:
- Remove the cooling system panels, blower vo- lutes, muffler and exhaust manifold (see EX- HAUST SYSTEM in this section).
- Remove the blower. See Blower Removal in this section.
- Disconnect the lead connected at the low oil pressure cutoff switch (next to the oil filter).
- Remove the four capscrews that secure the in- ner bulkhead to the engine and remove it.
