Procedure

  1. 1. Disconnect the generator set negative (-) battery
  2. 2. Disconnect the generator set positive (+) battery
  3. 3. Remove the starter mounting screws and then care-
  4. 4. Remove starter through-bolts and carefully separ-
  5. 5. Use an impact wrench to remove the pinion gear
