Procedure
- Drive old seal out from inside of gear cover or bearing plate.
- For gear cover oil seal, tap new seal in 1/2 inch from outer end of boss.
- For bearing plate oil seal, tap seal in until flush with outer end of boss.
- Apply shellac or Permatex around outer surface of seal.
