Before you start
- Mechanical tightening will distort or crack filter head.
Procedure
- Close shut-off valves on inlet and drain lines.
- Unscrew element and discard.
- Install new element, tighten until seal touches filter head, then an additional one-half to three-fourths turn.
- Open shut-off valves.
