Before you start
- Forcing the needle against its seat will bend the needle. The needle does not shut off fuel completely when turned all the way in.
Procedure
- Ensure ignition system works properly and governor is adjusted; allow engine to warm up.
- With no engine load, turn idle adjustment out until speed drops slightly below normal, then in until speed returns.
- Apply full load to engine.
- Turn main adjustment in until speed drops slightly below normal, then out until speed returns to normal.
