Before you start

  • Never operate plant with solenoid plunger G removed unless control toggle switch is OFF.

Procedure

  1. Disconnect flexible joint A from lever B.
  2. Snap idle switch OFF.
  3. Adjust governor for normal 3600 rpm no load to full load with nuts H loosened.
  4. Tighten lock nuts H with spring E close to sensitivity screw.
  5. Reconnect joint A to lever B.
  6. Turn stop adjusting screw F down for maximum lever movement.
  7. Snap idler switch ON. With no load, solenoid should reduce speed to about 1800 rpm.
  8. If idle speed too high, linkage C or D is too long; if too low, too short.
  9. With full load, solenoid plunger should drop.
  10. Adjust screw F so spring E is firm but not stretched.
  11. Tighten all locknuts.
