Before you start
- Do not cross-thread inside adapter mounting screw.

Procedure
- Remove crankcase breather hose and air preheater hose.
- Remove center capscrew and lift off housing and air filter.
- Remove three capscrews securing adapter to carburetor.
- Lift off adapter.
- Reassemble in reverse with new gasket.
