Procedure

  1. 3. Starting and Running the Generator Set
  2. 3.12 Engine Break-In Proper engine break-in is necessary for top performance.
  3. 1. Operate the generator set as it is intended to be operated. However, for the first 1-1/2 hours, if possible, run the generator set at 50 percent capacity, occasionally operating at full power for brief periods. Avoid prolonged low-power operation during break-in.
