Before you start
- Accidental or remote starting can cause severe personal injury or death
Procedure
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the front and top access doors, and side panel if needed.
- Loosen both pump bolts so the pump can pivot.
- Pivot the pump out to tighten belt tension and tighten the tension adjusting bolt.
- Check deflection of 0.4 inch (10 mm) with 20 pounds (10 kg) applied at mid-span.
- Tighten the bolts, reassemble panels and doors, reconnect battery cables.
