Before you start
- Do not route DC wires for remote control through conduit containing AC load wiring. Induced voltages may cause erratic operation.
Procedure
- Use a remote switch (SPDT, momentary contact, center off type).
- Use three wires to connect the switch to the control terminal block as shown in Figure 11/22.
- Select wire size by distance: #18 to 125 ft (38 m); #16 to 200 ft (61 m); #14 to 300 ft (91 m); #12 to 500 ft (152 m).
