Before you start

  • Use only Onan replacement parts; unauthorized modifications void warranty.

Procedure

  1. Remove the genset from the pontoon boat and remove the outer housing.
  2. Remove the bolts securing the flexible exhaust manifold to the muffler.
  3. Remove the screws securing the muffler to the base.
  4. Remove the muffler and the exhaust flange gasket.
  5. Install the muffler in reverse order using a new exhaust flange gasket and torque to specifications.
  6. Run the genset and check for leaks.

Specs & values

  • Muffler to Engine 8-11 lb-ft
  • Muffler to Base 25 lb-in
