Procedure
- Remove the head cover mounting bolts and pull off the head cover.
- Clean the head cover, being careful not to damage the gasket mounting surface.
- Clean the cylinder head and cover in the gasket mating area.
- Make sure the breather assembly is correctly seated in the cylinder head cavity.
- Install a new head cover gasket.
- Place the head cover in position and install the mounting bolts; torque in a star pattern.
