Procedure
- Loosen governor arm clamp screw holding arm on shaft.
- Insert screwdriver in slot in top of shaft and turn shaft clockwise as far as possible. Hold shaft in this position.
- Push governor arm in towards cylinder as far as possible. Hold and tighten clamp screw just enough to have slight drag on shaft.
- Pull governor arm out, away from cylinder as far as possible, and tighten clamp screw securely.
- If needed, adjust fulcrum or sensitivity adjusting screw on governor arm. Turning clockwise decreases sensitivity; counterclockwise increases it.
- Always adjust speed after governor adjustments and after plant reaches normal operating temperature.
