Procedure

  1. 1. Coupling driven Altronic alternators mount to the engine’s magneto drive. Use %"-16 x 7%” button head screw, %”-16 x 1%” hex head screw, %’-16 nut.
  2. 2. The 3-prong harness connector and 5-prong pick-up connector plug into their respective electronic box outlets.
  3. 3. Mount the ignition coils and connect them to spark plugs via the HT leads. On four cylinder engines, #1 and #4 #2 and #3 are connected together in series. The negative terminals of #4 and #3 are connected together and grounded to the engine block and electronic box.
  4. 4. Connect the leads of the harness to the positive termi- nals of the coils as follows: B to #1, C to #2.
