Cummins — Field Adjustment - Carburetor

Procedure

  1. 1. Close the main gas supply valve.
  2. 2. Set the carburetor power mixture adjustment valve at
  3. 3. Close the idle adjustment; then open two and one-half ©
  4. 4. Remove the pipe plug and attach a pressure gauge
  5. 5. Remove the pipe plug from teh intake manifold and -
  6. 6. Open the main line gas supply valve.
  7. 7. Adjust the line gas pressure to the “Thermac” pressure
  8. 8. Start the engine, using normal starting procedure.
  9. 9. After the engine coolant aitains operating temperature
  10. 10. Shut down the engine.
  11. 11. Close the main gas supply valve.
  12. 12. Remove the two water manometers and the mercury
