Procedure

  1. 1. Loosen the lock nut that secures the idler pulley to the water pump.
  2. 2. Turn the adjusting screw to adjust the v-ribbed belt tension to 623 N (140 Ib.)
  3. 3. Rotate the crankshaft one revolution to allow the belt to stretch, and check the tension again.
