Before you start

  • Note: The aftercooler drive belt must have a mini-
  • Note: One of the jam nuts has left-handed threads.

Procedure

  1. 10. Install the inlet and out let fittings. Use a thread
  2. sealant on the pipe threads.
  3. 11. Install drive pulley and belt.
  4. 12. Align the drive pulley and belt to the engine front
  5. crankshaft pulley. And tighten the mounting bolts.
  6. Torque Value = 44 Nem (32 ft-Ib).

  9. Note: The aftercooler drive belt must have a mini-
  10. mum of 1 inch belt deflection at the mid-point
  11. between the two pulleys to insure that the aux. after-
  12. cooler water pump does not exceed the side load
  13. pressure limitations.
  14. 13. Install both the pressure and suction lines to the
  15. pump connections.
  16. 14. Re-Service the system with treated coolant and vent
  17. the system.
  18. 15. Reconnect the battery ground cable.
  19. 16.Start the engine and vent the system of any
  20. entrapped air.
