Procedure

  1. 43. Connect the water filter lines.
  2. 44. Fill the cooling system.
  3. 45. Operate the engine to 70( C [160( F] coolant tem-
  4. perature and check for leaks.
  5. Aftercooler Pump - Remove and Install
  6. Preparatory Steps
  7. 1. Disconnect battery ground cable from engine to pre-
  8. vent starting of the engine.
  9. 2. Drain all coolant from the aftercooler cooling system.
  10. . Disconnect both the pressure line and the suction
  11. line from the auxillary aftercooler water pump.
  12. . Remove both inlet and outlet fittings.
  13. . Loosen and remove the 4 mounting bolts and nuts.
  14. . Remove the drive belt.
  15. . Remove the auxiliary aftercooler drive pulley from
  16. the pump.
  17. . Install a new pump.
  18. install the 4 mounting bolts and nuts and do not
  19. tighten at this time.
