Cummins — 37. Install the bracket to the pump using two large flat

Procedure

1. 33. Install the two large flat washers, lock washers and
2. cap-screws that hold the bracket to the hand hole
3. cover.
4. 34. Tighten the cap-screws only enough to hold the
5. bracket to the hand hole cover.
6. Note: Make sure the bracket remains flat against
7. both the housing and the hand hole cover while
8. tightening the cap-screws. if the bracket does not
9. remain flat, it will be in stress and fail causing the
10. pump or pump drive to also fail.
11. 35. Tighten the four cap-screws that hold the bracket to
12. the inlet housing, and the inlet housing to the pump.
13. Torque Value: 40 Nem [30 ft-Ib]
14. 36. Tighten the cap-screws that hold the bracket to the
15. hand hole cover.
16. Torque Value: 60 Nem [45 ft-lb]
17. 37. Install the bypass connection gaskets. Tighten the
18. cap-screws to 40 Nem [30 ft-lb].
19. A-5
20. 38. Tighten the cap-screw to 45 Nem [35 ft-lb}
21. 39, Tighten the hose clamps to 5.6 Nem (50 in-Ib]
