Chrysler — Reaction Adjustment

Adjustments · King Seeley governor

From a Chrysler operator's manual covering: IND. 52, IND. 53, IND. 54, IND. 56. Check it applies to your exact model before use.

Procedure

  1. If governor is slow acting, turn adjusting screw counter-clockwise one turn.
  2. While holding screw, turn calibrating nut counter-clockwise 1/8 of a turn.
  3. Repeat until desired regulation is obtained; best to continue until actual surge is produced, then just eliminate surge.
  4. Tap lightly on end of hollow wrench so calibrating nut seats properly and re-check speed.
