Procedure

  1. Check level of oil in crankcase and add oil if necessary to bring
  2. Check cooling system and add clean water or anti-freeze as
  3. If the engine is operated under extremely dusty conditions, check
  4. If the unit is equipped with a power take-off, lubricate the clutch
  5. Check the oi] level in the Hoof or Pierce Governor housing, and
  6. Lubricate the water pump.
  7. Check the level of the fluid in the torque converter unit, if so
  8. Adjust fan and generator belts.
  9. Drain the engine crankcase and refill with recommended grade of
  10. Lubricate the generator. See Lubrication Section.
  11. Check the lubricant in the transmission.
  12. Replace filter element in oil filter.
  13. Clean and adjust contact points in distributor (0.15 to .018 inch).
  14. Lubricate distributor cam wick.
  15. Check spark plugs for fouling and for proper gap (.035 inch).
  16. Check carburetor adjustment. See Adjustment Section.
  17. Inspect all wiring for loose connections and worn or broken insu-
  18. Clean the engine thoroughly.
  19. Inspect fluid level in Torque Converter.
  20. Drain and refill transmission (4 and 5 speed).
