Procedure
- Check level of oil in crankcase and add oil if necessary to bring
- Check cooling system and add clean water or anti-freeze as
- If the engine is operated under extremely dusty conditions, check
- If the unit is equipped with a power take-off, lubricate the clutch
- Check the oi] level in the Hoof or Pierce Governor housing, and
- Lubricate the water pump.
- Check the level of the fluid in the torque converter unit, if so
- Adjust fan and generator belts.
- Drain the engine crankcase and refill with recommended grade of
- Lubricate the generator. See Lubrication Section.
- Check the lubricant in the transmission.
- Replace filter element in oil filter.
- Clean and adjust contact points in distributor (0.15 to .018 inch).
- Lubricate distributor cam wick.
- Check spark plugs for fouling and for proper gap (.035 inch).
- Check carburetor adjustment. See Adjustment Section.
- Inspect all wiring for loose connections and worn or broken insu-
- Clean the engine thoroughly.
- Inspect fluid level in Torque Converter.
- Drain and refill transmission (4 and 5 speed).
