Champion — Starting the Engine
Operation

Before you start
- Rapid retraction of recoil cord can cause entanglement or injury
Procedure
- Make certain water pump is on flat, level surface
- Move fuel valve to ON position
- Move choke lever to CHOKE position by pulling out
- Move throttle lever to FAST position
- Press engine switch to ON position
- Pull starter cord slowly until resistance felt then pull rapidly
- As engine warms, move choke to RUN by pushing in
