Champion 100515 — Storage Preparation

Before you start

  • Do not use a pressure washer

Procedure

  1. Manually start engine and run several minutes to warm up.
  2. With engine running, turn fuel shutoff valve to closed, let engine run until it shuts down.
  3. Turn engine control module switch and ATS control module switch to OFF.
  4. Switch main circuit breaker to OFF (OPEN).
  5. Turn off utility power to transfer switch.
  6. Disconnect battery cables, negative first.
  7. Change the engine oil.
  8. Remove spark plug and spray fogging oil into hole; install spark plug and tighten.
  9. Wash and wax exterior of generator enclosure.
