Champion 100304 — Checking the Engine Oil Level

Before you start

  • DO NOT overfill the engine with engine oil. Damage to the engine may occur.

Procedure

  1. If generator is running during a utility outage, turn off all household loads.
  2. Put the aXis Controller in the OFF position.
  3. Remove the dipstick, wipe dry, and completely reinsert into the dipstick tube.
  4. Install the dipstick.
  5. Remove the dipstick; oil level should be at the FULL mark; add oil if necessary.
  6. Put the aXis Controller back to the previous position (MANUAL or AUTO).
