Champion 100304 — Changing the Engine Oil

For the Champion 100304, from the Champion operator's manual.
Before you start
- Always wear protective glasses or goggles and protective clothing when changing hot engine oil.
Procedure
- Press the MAN button on the aXis Controller to start and run the HSB.
- Allow the engine to run until it reaches operating temperature.
- Press the OFF button on the aXis Controller.
- Remove the fuse from the front of the aXis Controller.
- Put the generator ON/OFF switch to the OFF position.
- Remove oil drain hose from oil hose clamp and remove oil drain cap on the enclosure front.
- Push drain hose through the hole where the oil drain cap was; position hose over a drain pan; unscrew oil drain hose cap.
- Allow crankcase to empty.
- Reinstall the oil drain hose cap, ensuring the o-ring is in place; reclip the drain hose.
- Reinstall oil drain cap on the enclosure front.
- Fill the engine with the proper amount of engine oil.
- Reinstall fuse; put generator ON/OFF switch to ON; return aXis Controller to previous mode.
