Champion 100237 — Return to Service After Storage

Before you start

  • Always connect positive (+) battery cable first

Procedure

  1. Verify utility power to transfer switch is off.
  2. Verify engine control module and ATS control module switches are OFF.
  3. Check engine oil level; add if needed.
  4. Recharge batteries to 100% state of charge; replace if they will not fully charge.
  5. Connect positive (+) battery cable first, then negative (-).
  6. Clean and wipe down generator with mild soap and water.
  7. Turn fuel shutoff valve ON.
  8. Turn engine control module switch to MANUAL; run engine 15 minutes to warm up.
  9. Verify no active fault codes.
  10. Turn engine control module switch OFF, then ATS module switch to AUTO.
  11. Turn on utility power to transfer switch; verify utility LEDs lit.
  12. Turn engine control module switch to ATS.
  13. Set the exercise time.
