Before you start
- Never add more loads than generator capacity; consider surge loads in capacity calculation
Procedure
- Verify generator can supply enough running and starting watts
- Start generator with nothing connected
- Plug in and turn on first load (preferably largest)
- Allow generator output to stabilize
- Plug in and turn on next load
- Allow generator to stabilize
- Repeat for each additional load
- Never exceed generator capacity
