Before you start
- Never work on a tractor with an implement attached
Procedure
- If possible, always move the tractor to a flat, firm surface
- The machine can then be safely raised and will be more stable during track removal and installation
- A hard surface also makes it easier to slide the track out from under the machine
- Use a forklift if available
- Disconnect any implements from the hitch or drawbar
- Never work on a tractor with an implement attached
Tools required
- Forklift (if available)
Specs & torque values
- Hard, firm surface required
- Shims for track alignment
